WORK EXPERIENCE

     Independent technical translator-interpreter (German, Spanish,
     English).


     October 1982 to Present:

     Established Technical Language Specialists after return to the United
     States from the Federal Republic of Germany in 1982. Clients have
     included Siemens Power Corporation, Kraftwerk Union (now Siemens
     Power Generation), Siemens Nuclear Power Services Inc., Robert Bosch
     GmbH, Harris Corporation, Siemens Munich, IBM and a number of
     translation agencies in the U.S. and Europe.

     Court and deposition interpreting (real estate investment fraud,
     patent infringement, personal injury and extradition cases, among
     others); German and English.


     September 1977 to October 1982:

     Independent technical translator-interpreter, West Germany.

     Worked for various German-language companies such as Bosch, Mercedes
     Benz, Kraftwerk Union, Hartmann & Braun, Siemens and Festo in a
     number of technical fields including automotive engineering, nuclear
     power plant systems design and construction, pneumatics and
     hydraulics, electrical engineering, instrumentation and control,
     mechanical engineering and computer applications; translated
     industrial standards, operator and service manuals, nuclear power
     plant design specifications, helicopter hydraulic system maintenance
     procedures, specification sheets for sophisticated electronic
     equipment, etc. from German to English, English to German and
     (occasionally) Spanish to German. Worked full-time from February 1980
     to October 1982 at Kraftwerk Union, in Offenbach and Erlangen, as
     translation coordinator and chief translator on a nuclear power plant
     project involving translation of specifications for construction of
     the German-designed CNA 2 (Central Nuclear Atucha, Unit 2) nuclear
     power plant in Argentina.


     August 1976 to December 1976:

     Harris Semiconductor; Palm Bay, Florida.

     Production supervisor (line foreman); responsible for IC wafer
     fabrication in thin film and diffusion departments, as well as for
     operator training. In first production period subsequent to hire,
     schedule was met for first time with new product; laid off due to
     downturn in semiconductor business.


     January 1972 to February 1975:

     United States Army Security Agency (ASA).

     Assigned to ASAFSB (Field Station [West] Berlin) to work on highly
     classified government project requiring superior German translation
     and interpreting skills; also coordinated training and quality
     control programs in my primary specialty (98G3LGM -- German voice
     intercept analyst; secondary specialty 04B -- interpreter); honorably
     discharged with Specialist 5 rank at end of service agreement. Held
     top-secret cryptographic clearance (B1 background investigation).


QUALIFICATIONS

     Accredited member of the American Translators Association since 1983
     (accredited for translation from English to German); certified by the
     Joint Publications Research Service for translation from German to
     English and Spanish to English. Over twenty-nine years of
     professional experience.


MAJOR PUBLICATIONS TRANSLATED

     Bosch Automotive Handbook, 2nd English Ed., 706 pp.; published in
     1986 by Robert Bosch GmbH; Stuttgart, Germany. Power Journal, a
     technology review published quarterly from 1993-2001 by Siemens Power
     Generation, the power generation subsidiary of Siemens AG.
